Julia Brufke Wenger, Enrolled Agent

Julia is founder of Phoenix Tax Consultants, LLC. She has been a member of the Phoenixville business community and owned her practice since 1990. Julia is a licensed accountant, tax and certified financial planner, insurance advisor, and experienced real estate investor and developer. She is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in Accounting. Julia is an active member of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has been profiled in The Wall Street Journal, SmartCEO Magazine, KYW News Radio, The Phoenix, The Pottstown Mercury, The Daily Local, and on Pottstown Cable TV.
Her personal experience in the areas of divorce, elder care, parenting, and business ownership—and her emphasis on planning—have helped grow her practice to over 1,500 clients. She is sensitive to the concerns of individuals making financial decisions and considers the clients’ complete situations when planning for them. Her vision for her practice has evolved into a one-stop source for taxes and financial services. This expanded role is convenient for clients and assists in developing tax-efficient investment strategies aimed at maximum results.
In addition to all of this, Julia is the mother of four daughters. Her oldest, Martha, graduated from Drexel University. Her second oldest Juliegrace is currently at Georgetown University as a White House Journalist and her other daughter Sarah is attending Villanova University, while her youngest Carly is a senior at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. She, her husband Ron, and her daughter Martha ran two half marathons this fall!
Sam Fry, Senior Tax Analyst
Sam Fry is the Senior Tax Analyst of our business tax division. Sam is a graduate of The Hill School, and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Pennsylvania. Sam received his law degree from The Tulane University School of Law, and also received a Master of Legal Letters in Taxation, from The Boston University School of Law. Sam has a substantial amount of experience in the finance, business and tax areas, with emphasis on tax compliance; individual, business, estate, trust, and exempt entity taxation; tax exempt finance, and commercial and non-commercial tax assessment appeals. Marilyn Davolose, CPA
Marilyn has an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science. She worked as a Paralegal for six years and then went back to school for a MBA with a concentration in Accounting. She also has been working for several small CPA firms and started acquiring her own clients. In 1990 Marilyn became a CPA; her hobbies are playing tennis, cooking and reading.
Eileen Morelock (aka Sissy)
Sissy earned a BS from Franklin & Marshall College has her Masters in Taxation and an MBA in Investment Finance from Drexel University. Sissy resides in Montgomery County with her husband Kevin and 18 month old daughter and 4 year old son. She has been doing Tax Preparation for five years.
Peter Bottke, CPA
Peter has been preparing individual tax returns for over ten years, and is entering his third tax season with Phoenix Tax Consultants. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Pennsylvania since 1992 and received his Bachelors in Accounting from Penn State Behrend. Peter lives in Central Montgomery County with his wife, and two sons.
This is Tammy’s second year with Phoenix Tax Consultants. She brings with her a BBA from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School with a concentration in Accounting. She has over fifteen years experience in both the public and private sectors. Her experiences include: accounting, audit, consulting and tax.
Joanne L. Cushman
Joanne joined our firm in August 2011. She brings over six years of investment/securities experience to her position as Relationship/Processing Manager for Bala Financial. Joanne’s background includes a paralegal certificate and twenty plus years of administrative support in large corporate environments as well as small offices. Joanne’s interests include swimming, reading, playing the flute in the orchestra at New Hanover UMC, scrapbooking/card making and studying the Bible.
Amber is our office manager and customer relations coordinator and assistant to Julia Brufke Wenger. Amber has been with us since July 2012 and she brings five plus years of administrative experience to her position. Amber holds an AA in Business and just received her BA in Human Resources Management with a minor in Organizational Management in May 2015.
