At Phoenix Tax Consultants we are proud to have the best in class accountants, CPA and tax professionals. All of our professionals hold a college degree and participate in continuing education throughout the year. Our staff each have a Ptin# and are either a CPA or enrolled agent. By 2012 will all be a registered tax preparer with the IRS, if they are not already. Now that is a tax team that is ready to tackle your taxes!

 

Julia Brufke Wenger

Owner, Enrolled Agent, Registered Investment Advisor, Insurance Agent, Certified Retirement Counselor

Julia is founder of Phoenix Tax Consultants, LLC. She has been a member of the Phoenixville business community and owned her practice since 1990. Julia is a licensed accountant, tax and financial planner, insurance advisor, and experienced real estate investor and developer. She is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in accounting. Julia is an active member of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has been profiled in The Phoenix, The Pottstown Mercury, The Daily Local, and on Pottstown Cable TV.

Her personal experience in the areas of divorce, elder care, parenting, and business ownership—and her emphasis on planning—have helped grow her practice to over 1,500 clients. She is sensitive to the concerns of individuals making financial decisions and considers the clients’ complete situations when planning for them. Her vision for her practice has evolved into a one-stop source for taxes and financial services. This expanded role is convenient for clients and assists in developing tax-efficient investment strategies aimed at maximum results.

In addition to all of this, Julia is the mother of four daughters. Her oldest, Martha, recently graduated from Drexel and helps in the office. She, her husband Ron, and her daughter Martha ran two half marathons this fall!

 

Mary Malazita

Mary is entering her fourth tax season with Phoenix Tax Consultants and has been preparing tax returns for almost a decade. Mary, CPA, handles all our small business clients, as well as approximately 150 individual clients. She is on board year-round with PTC and handles many notices that tax clients receive throughout the year. This year, Mary has added IRS Audit Representation as one of her strengths. A Certified Public Accountant since 1992 and received her B.S.B.A. from Villanova University,  Mary lives in East Norriton with her husband, Ray, and her three children – Alison, Christopher and Victoria.

 

Andrew Jackson

Drew is a graduate of Ripon College and received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has prepared taxes through local firms for 10+ seasons and has an extensive background in insurance and investments. He has lived with his wife in Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties for 35 years. They have a daughter and son-in-law who also live locally.

 

Randy Barnes

Randy has MS in Taxation from Philadelphia University. He has been preparing tax returns, including individual, business and trust returns, since 1996.  Randy lives in Gilbertsville with his wife, Lauren and his 9 year old son Ryan.  When not working on taxes Randy is involved with coaching his son’s baseball and basketball teams.

 

Albert McBride

Al is a graduate of Widener University where he received a BS in Accounting. He is also currently working on his MS in Taxation at Widener University in Chester, PA. He has been preparing individual and business tax returns locally since 1989. He has extensive background in small business and rental properties. When not working on taxes and as an accountant, Al coaches his son’s little league baseball teams and is involved in Cub Scouts. Al lives in Delaware County, with his wife Kathy and their three young sons.

 

Mario Marino

Mario is a student at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA with a major in Marketing Finance and a minor in Accounting. This is his second season with Phoenix Tax, and he is looking forward to many more.

 

 

Amber Eck

Amber Eck earned a B.S. from California University of Pennsylvania. After taking an intensive tax return preparation course, she began doing tax returns professionally and is looking forward to completing her fourth year.

Eileen Morelock (aka Sissy)

Sissy earned a BS from Franklin & Marshall College. Sissy resides in Montgomery County with her husband Kevin and 7 month old daughter and 3 year old son. She has been doing Tax Preparation for several years.
